No, we do not manufacture our turf with PFAs.
Does the artificial turf get hot?
Artificial turf that is directly in sunlight can get pretty warm. We recommend using a cooling infill to combat this. On the hottest days of the year we recommend hosing your turf down with water in the morning.
Does artificial turf smell when dogs go to the bathroom on it?
Our turf is manufactured with microban in the fibers to help combat the smell of animal urine. The antimicrobial infill also helps to reduce the smell. We recommend regularly rinsing your turf with a hose or naturally from rainfall to clean it.
How often do we need to reapply infill?
Never, the thatch layer of the turf is designed to keep the infill in place.
What does maintenance look like?
If you want to maintain it yourself, you can power wash it, leaf blow it and even snow blow it. We have a product called Oxyturf that you can buy to use for disinfecting as well. We also offer a maintenance service that we recommend annually, usually in the spring time. This includes our crew coming out to disinfect, power broom to fluff up the turf and check all seaming and edging points. Price varies based on square footage.
